Debra qualified in 1992 after serving a period of articles with T. Robson. Initially employed as an assistant solicitor with Evans Robson, she became a partner in 1994 at the inception of Evans & Co.
She initially covered a very general range of legal work associated with high street practice including inter alia matrimonial, crime and litigation.
She now specialises in commercial property, licensing, business, conveyancing and charity matters.
Commercial Property
Buying, selling, mortgages or renting all types of commercial property including industrial, retail, agricultural, company and recreational. She works with a wide range of lenders on a regular basis.
Licensing
Applications for new premises licence, variation and review of premises licence.
Business
Advice to new business start-ups, partnership agreement matters, business sale and purchase agreements, asset and share sale agreements and company compliance matters.
Conveyancing
CQS Accreditation Buying, Selling, Transfer of Equity and Re-mortgage of residential property.
Charity
Applications for charitable status including charitable incorporated organisations and supporting not for profit organisations.
Debra is passionate about support for all new and existing business. She has also developed an interest in training and has studied and completed a PGCE in post 16 Education and Training.
Debra is keen to support the local community, encouraging staff members to take part in charity and community events and activities.
Debra is a Director of Spennymoor Town Football club and Trustee of the Solan Connor Fawcett Family Cancer Trust.
Debra has over 20 years’ experience as a school governor and now serves as a co-opted community governor of Ox Close Federation in Spennymoor.
Debra enjoys following Spennymoor Town FC and Academy, gardening, travelling and spending time with family and friends.
